Helly Hansen Shop Battle California
Did Sports Ltd. 3-Peat? Did Boards in Motion have the right stuff? Was Riders Union healthy? Did The Underground dominate on their home turf? Did The Backcountry lock in their heals and do a switch trick over a jump? Did Mike Laroche/Elite Feet back up their trash talking and be hanging out with De La Soul in 2 weeks? Did Shoreline finally have 4 strong athletes? Could Bobo's handle the elevation? Did C-Squared eat too many In and Out Breakfast Burgers before the comp? Did shop "X" not know that the judges knew that they were trading jerseys? Did Porters have their team manager to complete the 4 person roster? Did Rom get totally wasted? Where there 4 beautiful wenches in attendance? Was all this footage filmed with a $200 snap shot digi camera? Is all this footage filmed by one person who also had to organize the event? Was this video edited with the program that comes on an entry level PC? The answer is yes on the last 3, but you're going to have to watch the video the find out the answers to the other intriguing questions.

Retallack to Mammoth a little update
A few weeks ago, I returned from an epic trip to Canada. We were staying at the Retallack Cat Skiing Lodge near Nelson, B.C. where we had amazing skiing and delicious food. It was snowing the whole time we were there. The first night, we arrived at 3:30 in the morning and woke up at 6 fresh and ready for some good ol' pow skiing. The place was pillow heaven. You'd be shredding through trees and then stumble upon numerous pillow lines. It was great. After that trip, which was short, but sweet, I came back to Tahoe and had one of my best days in Squaw. Mike Wilson was double backing and back flipping everything possible. Fun times. I am now in Mammoth. We were a bit too late for the fresh snow, but managed to build some jumps in Sonora. While the snow was getting sun baked, we've been keeping busy with rails, tree bonks, and sunset shoots. The park here right now is perfect. Anyways, enjoy the pics and have fun in the sun!

Closed Mountains - Open Roads
Check out these pictures of Mark C. and Aaron S. getting some pulls through the ol' neighborhood. The snow banks had so much pow on them it was ridiculus! We did it for hours and had so much fun. Quite possibly one of the better powder days this year.. haha!

Today Terje Haakonsen set a new world record for highest air out of a quarterpipe
Today Terje Haakonsen set a new world record for highest air out of a quarterpipe with a whopping 32-foot backside 360 method. The photos will assuredly be sweeping the internet in a matter of minutes and will have more gawkers than the recently bowling-balled Britney. He warmed up only once before he began charging, then consistently hit 9 meters for the hour to come. His daily efforts were broken with his board, as it snapped underneath a goliath mctwist towards the final minutes of the contest. He was challenged by Jacob Koia, Pat Moore, Manuel Pietropoli, and Kevin Pearce, all of whom were licking the 9 meter mark as well. Check back later for the complete story and a set of new videos. Below are the results. CLICK HERE for the exclusive video of Haakon’s day! RESULTS: Terje Haakonsen Kevin Pearce Manuel Pietropoli Arthur Longo Henning Marthinsen Pat Moore Takato Taniguchi Dustin Craven Jacob Koia Jake Blauvelt Kim Rune Hanson Fumyuki Murakami Mikka Hast Steve Fisher Danny Davis Mason Aguirre
