Sonora Pass
A must do, but you need to bring the sick bag for the passenger. One of best passes I have ever driven. No part of the road was straight or level. It seemed that around every corner a new twist was added to the road. And if something be it animal, car or person you wouldn't see them till you ran them over. Oh and forget about any type of guard rail or warning sign that may help in the driver of any impending doom. But if you have a manual transmission vehicle with some power and good steering your gonna love this pass. With amazing views and some great twist this pass is a must drive when touring the sierras.

Mountain Passes
Its a great time to go check out all the Sierra Passes. I will be cruising through Monitor Pass and Sonora pass and our own weather/warehouse Guy Joe will be heading north to Lassen to get some late season turns. Since it was a light snow year all the passes have opened up early and before the summer rush hits go check them out.

The Majestic Tahoe Flower
They have been popping up everywhere, this beautiful orange Tahoe Flower. We tend to see it pre gaper season both in summer and winter. Normally the lake slows traffic down to a crawl in the summer but this flower plans its arrival in time to slow all local motorist down. As always the timing of the construction around the lake sucks. Just when you think you may have a chance at a nice easy and happy commute, bam, they getcha. Well, at least, no there is no well at least it just sucks, but soon the like all Tahoe flowers this one will be gone and we will be griping about something else.

Grab your Tenspeed!
Ok, first of all I do not won a ten speed or endorse riding one but I will give the ole heads up the the mountain bike season is up and running. With the low snow fall this past season getting o the trails early will be your best bet to not fall victim to the dust. Any of the lower trails are all basically melted out and some of the higher trails will soon follow.
