K2 APACHE COOMBA

K2 APACHE COOMBA
The K2 Coomba is exactly what you’d expect from the late Doug Coombs if you ever had the chance to see him ski. Smooth, fluid, endless energy…”He made it look easy…” With a traditional tail (flat, no twin-tip), not much sidecut, a stiffer tail and softer shovel, the Coomba recognizes where the freeskiing movement really came from when Coombs, Schmidt, and Plake were our only heroes. But don’t think you have to be an old-schooler to tear around your favorite face or tour to your favorite stash on the Coomba. It is just as comfortable in deep powder as it is in the crud, from KT-22 to the Jackson Hole backcountry to Chamonix. Just in case you’re not earning your turns like Doug usually did, the Coomba is still stable enough for those of us that have to take a groomer to get back to the chairlift, even though it’s 102mm under foot. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of all Coomba’s will go to the Doug Coombs Memorial Fund. In memory of Doug Coombs, 1957-2006.
