Jeep King of the Mountain Tour Day 3 Skiing Halfpipe

Sunscreen please! Skiers took on the stunt ditch today in honor of Tom Cruise. "Sorry Goose....it's time to bust the tower!" Yes, it's true, skiers DO go BIG in the Pipe. Simon Dumont made the trip but was ailing a separated shoulder. Porters Team rider Sean Field was in the mix and had a solid 1st run in qualys but was denied entrance into the final. Super lame, cause Sean was boosting and had a tech line! The Kiwi from down under was boosting as well, Jossi Wells, no pun intended. Can you say big and techy spinning both ways going Dumont large with style & control? Yeah, he ruled it all day in qualy's and the final taking the win.
Aside from the competition itself, I do have a complaint or can I say grievance to file. Organizers, please STOP LAGGING AND KILLING THE ENEGRY OF A CONTEST FOR TV! First off, this is not a live feed so there should be no major delays. Second, the field wasn't even that big 25 men total and 6 women I believe. I've seen local contests run faster for Pete's sake! There's nothing better than fans & the rest of the media standing around waiting for something to go down. I love it when I'm standing on the deck and an interested fan asks me "When does the competition start?"
I respond "Um it already did like 15 minutes ago."
They reply "Really??? Then what is going on ? I haven't seen anyone go yet."
"My point exactly!"
Yes, granted I know a few of the guys on the crew and I like them all. PLEASE get it together....
Delays like that just kill any kind of energy not just for the fans, but the participants as well. The X Games is a live feed and they ran quicker than this event. Some of the same crew was used here as well. I don't know, whatever. It's beautiful and sunny out...just rock it straight no BS.....you can fix your edit later in post.
After all my ranting, something did lift my spirits.....I looked over underneath the banners on the deck and there were a bunch of groms waiting for guys to hit the pipe. They all had big old smiles and were stoked to see the skiers going huge! Some of them may be in the ditch someday.
