Happy to hear our ol' UVM and Tahoe pal Jon Rockwood made it up to Alaska earlier this month, gettin' 3 bluebird heli days in less than a week in the Tordrillo Mountains. Sounds like his group was pretty solid, including 3 experienced heli guides, so they were able to get to the white-knuckle stuff. These pix look pretty steep to me... but then again, I spent my last day at Squaw this year getting drunk at the pool, so there ya go. Congrats to Rockwood for going straight from Flagstaff AZ>airport>AK>bush plane>heli>standing-on-top-of-the-scary-shit in the same day with no breaks. Don't worry, Chappy, he had time to shoot some 44 Magnums while he was there. Rockwood, thanks for the Porters love in your pix.
