I've been here in Bariloche, Argentina for the last few weeks coaching for SASS (www.sasnowsessions.com). The second session just ended and the new campers for session three just showed up. By the end of the two weeks spent with the kids from last session, I got attached. It was hard to see them leave yesterday. Especially the girl skiers, Mel in particular.

Mounting up her homemade skis
She is this ripper from the East Coast who had incredible passion for skiing. Her senior project was to make her own skis. I thought it was really impressive. She got to mount them up and ski them while she was down here and left them for more campers and staff to try out when she went home. I haven't had the opportunity to try them out yet, but I'm excitted to try out my first pair of homemade skis. Here are some photos of her skis. She also wanted to make them environmentally friendly, so with that in mind she made them out of Bamboo and called them the Bamboozles.

Bamboozle! Ultimate Green Ski.
Also, the camp is pretty full, but we are still trying to get some more skiers down here for the last session. If anybody is interested and want a Michelle Parker discount...e-mail Travis at travis@sasnowsessions.com. You can check out more info on the camp at www.sasnowsessions.com and my personal blog www.michelle-parker.com.
