After 9 hours of driving and constant redbull and cigarette consumption i finally pulled into Ark motel in Welches Oregon at 3:ooam this morning. For those of you who dont know the Ark is this run down, old ass motel that Tim Windell bought in the early 90's to house his employees i.e. coaches, kitchen staff, maintenance dudes etc. Ever since Tim's purchase the ark has been a local commune for snowboarders who have no place else to go, otherwise they would; its dirty and very unhealthy, it is located next to a meth lab, there is this weird fungus that lurks in the walls and on the ceiling (we call it black mold and it has been known to cause lung cancer if you breath the spores), and you shouldnt take showers unless you are wearing sandals or some kind of foot protector. oh and dont walk out side barefoot either because you will most likely get broken 40 shards stuck in your foot. but other than that it is home for the next few months and i am happy to be here once again. this has nothing to do with anything but here are some photos from super park.
