Wake surfin with Al

Late Thursday night I got an invite from one of our very loyal and great customers Al t o go wake surfing on their new boat. For the record I’ll wakesurf anytime as long as the boats got a decent wave. The porters crew have been surfing the lakes of tahoe for 5 or so years and with the help from our friends in the delta we have got the boat and the wave dialed. I lent a hand setting up Al’s new boat with 1,500 lbs of fat sacks +wedge+another 1000 lb in ballast.. the result the perfect storm of wake surfing. A sick wave, a perfect glassed out, 7:30am, late September Donner lake. We went right up the middle of that beautiful lake and had it all to ourselves. @ one point I asked Al if he rented the lake out for the day we were the only boat other then small fishing skiffs. Chris , Al , and I rode till our legs hurt, the wave was producing rides up to 10 minutes, riders choice, ride till leg cramps or you fall. I left @ 11:00 and went to work for the rest of the day with a big smile and sore leg. Big thanks to Al for gett’in me out for a great session.
