If you didn't make it out to the Rome "No Correct Way" premiere at Kingvale you missed out on a great time. The event kicked off with a skate jam at the mini ramp, some ankles were rolled and some knees were bruised. Then people moved on to the tie-dye tents where NoCal Rome Rep John Graham and Porters chica Kasey were showing folks how to tie-dye. Then the taco truck rolled in and people started to fill their belly's on some great tacos, tostadas, quesadillas and burritos. They were delicious, thanks Gustavo! There were random tubs placed around Kingvale full of PBR, Coors Light and bottles water, all for FREE. Surprisingly no one got out of hand, way to go snowboard crowd, I am impressed.
The Red Bull event guys showed up just after dark and started to blow up their screen and the JG pushed play. Rome riders John Foy and Marius Otterstad were on hand to see the movie and hang out with the crowd.
During the movie John Graham ran up the hill and put a snowboard and a couple of pairs of bindings at the top. After the movie the first people to the top got the goodies. Not very many folks went for the run uphill.... I think too many of them had too many cig butts because the group that made the run was very small. After the run the music started off with a MC from the Bay Area followed up by Cohesion a band from North Lake Tahoe.
All in all it was a good time. Thanks to all that came out.
