3 feet in the last 48 hours. More snow Thursday. Maybe another 3 footer by the beginning of next week with storms lined up for post-Christmas too.

Squaw Reports that upper mountain operations will start mid mid week.

Alpine Says: Another 12 to 17 inches of new snow last night! Only 3 more days until we open the flood gates inviting everyone back to the mountain for even more skiing and riding. Just think...we are letting the snow pile up over here, creating fluffy fields of pristine powder!

Northstar is even giving you top to bottom riding.

All in all not a bad first dump of the year, yes Tahoe will be white for Christmas!!

 WTF Alpine?
Leave it up to Alpine to close for this week. Gotta love how they cater to locals! We should get the lift ticket rate back for every day they decide to close the mountain with plenty of snow!
