After the circus: Chas Guldemond
Well... I ended up in fourth place at the X Games this year so every year I'm getting a little bit better. I was pretty stocked on that but, I had another trick up my sleeve for a day in the backcountry In Aspen
My filmer Ando showed up the night of the slopestyle and the next morning me and him were doubling on the sled on are way to the hills at 8.00 am.
We started with two pillow lines I took them mellow and rode them two times nicely it was so fun to be riding some different stuff. We finished of the day by building a sick rode gap jump it took us about four hours. Finally off the trailhead at 6.00pm.
The next day weather didn't look that good but we still managed to get to the trailhead at 10am despite the high avalanche danger we tiptoed back to the jump checked the run in slope with some compression tests. Snow was some what stable so I cleared the jump off. After a long tackling experience I landed a nice back seven off the gap. It felt good... so we finished the day with a bc fire and doubled home arriving back at 6.30or so. 6 healthy days of riding and I'm off to Austria for the air and style wish me luck.
Trailhead photo of location...filmers are very discreet about locations and never want to give anything away...so Chas took this EPIC shot of the trailhead....LOL!
