Ladies Room Snowboard Camp Report

Porters Team Rider Iris Lazz just got back from Waterville...& here's her wrap-up of the all girls snowboard camp...way to give back Iris!
The first ever Ladies Room Snowboard Camp put together by Colleen Quigley and the WaterVille crew was a total success!
Not only was the weather the best we could've asked for it was such a blast for everyone involved and every girl walked away a better snowboarder and with a bunch of free goodies! The trip to the east was a long one but once we were there it was totally worth it and I left with that end of summer camp feeling you get when you don't wanna leave but the real life was calling! there was fresh snow for both days, the first day was sunny, no wind and perfect and consisted of each girl being in their groups of about 3-5 with their coach in the morning and a high ollie comp midday, where every coach was blown away on well each girl did considering just about all of them had how to correctly ollie that same morning. The next day it had snowed about 8 inches and was still coming down for the first half of the day, everyone went powder riding and my girls and I built a little bump on a knoll and caught some air, working on our sweet new tricks into the fresh landing, each one learned at least one trick and some even a few new ones! Midday we played an intense game of simon says then sessioned in Expedition park at the down box and down rail. Kids and stoked snowboarders never cease to amaze me with how much they learn and so quick, especially these tough east coast girls, they killed it, I along with everyone left stoked, especially after the prize give away!!
