Its snowing!! YAY!! Its is what we really really needed in Tahoe but its making for something that we aren't that used to here in the Sierras, HIGH avalanche danger. The snowpack is NOT like past years where its just cement on cement on cement. We had a long time with no snow and could clear weather making a perfect week layer for the storms to come. This year started with a dangerous snowpack and that doesn't just disappear. Keep an eye out you backcountry adventurest, no need to put your self in a sketchy situation cause skiing or boarding today is just as sweet and important as being able to do it tomorrow too!
