Errol Mega Update
Jamaica's Errol Kerr to compete in Ski Cross World Championships in Japan

Qualifications and finals are on Monday, March 2. For more information, please click on the following: World Championships - Inawashiro, Japan
Hotel Listel Inawashiro--
Here's an early report from Homey (Eric Holmer, Errol's coach and technician) on the course in Japan:
"We freeskied and checked out the course today. There aren't many turns, but there are a lot of straight sections that should make for some great passing if the conditions hold out. It's always hard to predict, but this should be a good course for Errol. I know he feels really good about his chances after just seeing it from outside the fence."
Two week break from ski cross world cup (Feb 7-23th)
Kerr took a two week break from the Ski Cross World Cup circuit to focus on some competitions and appearances near home:
North America Cup On February 10th, Errol competed in the North America Cup Super G in Mammoth, California, finishing 12th. He finished ahead of some US Ski Team members, and it was a great result for a racer who has been focusing on ski cross all season.
Sugar Bowl Banzai - On qualification day, Kerr was being filmed at Alpine Meadows in the early morning, and barely made it to Sugar Bowl to inspect the course and decide on his line. The race is six-man wide, big mountain skicross. Amazingly, Errol finished 2nd in the qualifying run, right behind US Ski Team's famous Daron Rahlves. The following day, Kerr "lost his shoes" (came out of his bindings) and did not finish the race.

Errol with Alpine Meadows Ski Team youth - On Saturday, Feb 21st, Errol spent the day leading the Alpine Meadows ski team youth through gullies and jumps. Children reported that they were having the time of their lives following Errol around the mountain. Alpine Meadows is the home training mountain for the Jamaica Ski Team.

No ski season is complete without glorious days of skiing in the powder. The Tahoe area was slammed with snow for one week straight, and Errol didn't hesistate to take the opportunity to go out skiing with the film crew at Alpine Meadows in waste deep powder.
