North Cascade Heli
Just got back from a sweet Heli trip to the North Cascades with Dakine, Freeskier, and the Nimbus Crew. With only 4 days booked to fly, we kinda lucked out with the sunshine and got it done on the last day. North Cascade Heli Op. is on point. They're honest and get you what you're looking for to the best of their abilities. With guides that have experience with rippers and film crews, we couldn't have been in a better place when the sky broke up and they were selling tickets to slash city.
Pollard and Chris Benchetler stuck it out throught the thick cloud for the last day. Unfortunately we had to sacrifice one rider to the sun gods as Sammy Carlson was over the patches of fog and windy conditions and split to what looked to be better in Hood, Or. Literally, withing a half hour after Sammy split, so did the sky. It was on!
Be sure to check out the newest Nimbus webisode from Japan. It's a free 20 minute movie pretty much...edited by Eric Pollard and skied by Pollard, Benchetler, Pep, and Andy Mahre. It's worth your 20 minutes and it's FREE! Watch out for a new one to drop on March 15th.
Hope this rain turns to snow! Peace.
