Yes I know it is after Cinco de Mayo but the Monster de Mayo party at Squaw Valley had to be postponed due to rainy weather up here in Tahoe. I received a little invite from Savannah over in PR at Squaw on Tuesday to come up and enjoy the festivities. She kicked down a few comp tickets and Kenny, Andy and I went up and rode for the morning. While we were lapping the park we saw Peter Olenick, Tj Schiller, Cloby West and X Games Champ Nate Holland throw down on the Monster jump. It was a perfect spring day, a day so perfect that one should not go with out sunscreen....yeah I forgot to put some on and now I look silly.

After a day in the sun and the park we headed up to the Pool party that was sponsored by Monster Energy drink. The athletes got in their boardshorts and started to enjoy the drinks, beats and hot tub and pool. Around 4:15 one of the girls that works for Squaw at the pool started asking people to get out of the hot tub...one of the athletes, I believe it was Peter Olenick, decided he didn't want to get out and decided that she needed get in. She ended up in the tub with all her clothes on...poor girl. If you can make it up for Squaw last weekend for the 2008-2009 season, do it because there is nothing better then a morning of spring skiing or snowboarding and an afternoon of hot tubbing, swimming and beer at the top of Squaw.
