Yesterday 3 longtime Porters employees - Alex Ruimerman, Kathy Karlovic, and Stephanie Craven - braved the "Hill from Hell" and the rest of the 26+ miles of the 2009 edition of the Lake Tahoe Marathon. This was somewhat of a "on the whim" decision by Alex many months ago. Mind you Alex is not a "runner", so this was a big feat. In fact, a first for all 3 of them. Go team go!!!

They started their day on Commons Beach in Tahoe City. They then went down the best shore - the West Shore - on highway 89 past Emerald Bay all the way down to Pope Beach just past Camp Richardson. I got a lot of great pics I think......I'm just bummed that I missed the girls crossing the finish line an hour before Alex :) I was hanging back giving him support.....along with his childhood friend Barr who came up from San Diego just to run it with him.....in a stinkin' cotton t-shirt of all things!

good job you guys. im stoked for you. the only reason i would run is if something was chasing me. by the way, whats up with the no shoes folks.... is it like the runners version of fixie ?
