Check Out The New Snow In Tahoe

So we haven't gotten our first "big" storm yet, but the last couple have been nice for sure. This time last year it was still brown ground and I couldn't have made the quick run up to the top of Mount Watson above Tahoe City on my snowmobile like I did today. You're still not going to be making any turns on a ski or snowboard up there yet, but there was plenty of snow to make the turn off of the "fiberboard freeway" and go to the top.

The view never gets old even years and now decades after my first time up there. The wind was whipping pretty good and you could see white caps all over Lake Tahoe. You also get such an awesome view looking across the Truckee River / 89 valley over to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Castle Peak is always worth pausing for a few moments as well.

Enjoy the pics of the white goodness and come on up to Tahoe. The overnight lows are nice and cold so the resorts are putting blankets of white stuff over what Mother Nature has given us so far. So go ahead and play hookie for a day this week and come up and make some turns. If you don't, it'll just be one less day that you have to put a smile on your face sliding around in the snow.....

Oh sweet, sweet snow
xoxo

Snowy white goodness...just a big storm away from being able to shred
