Skiing Above Exposure and a Ridiculously Glassy Lake Tahoe
By Miles Clark
I cruised up to Hidden Peak Cirque with some buddies yesterday to get a taste of what it's like to ski scared. We certainly found what we were looking for. This cirque is a crazy conglomeration of cliffs, rocks, stunted trees and close-out lines. We were hoping to push it a bit, but were happy just to find a few ways through. Check out how glassy the lake was yesterday, Jan. 28, in the shot. This place never ceases to amaze me and cause me to use cliches like the one I just exercised.
Until after the first little air, this line is no-fall zone above some cliffs and pretty darn pointy rocks.
