Burton Seconds mean that while the snowboard was going through final quality control inspection someone found a cosmetic blemish in the top sheet graphic. In layman's terms, this means that maybe the graphic is off center by 5% or the colors were a slight shade different or something very minor that is probably hard to notice. Near the tip or the tail there might be a very small stamp in the base material that says it's a "second".
