  • What brands can’t you ship outside the US?
    • We would LOVE to be able to supply you with everything that we sell online, but unfortunately there are certain brands that simply will not allow us to ship international. This is something 100% out of our control and a contractual requirement of the brand to allow us to sell online in the first place. There are no restrictions to using an international credit card with the product being shipped to a US address. If you attempt to place an international order for any of the following brands, we will politely remind you in an email of the restrictions and our inability to fulfill your request.
    • Partial Shipment Restrictions:
    • Billabong – can ONLY ship to US and Canada
    • The North Face – can’t ship to Canada
  • Where can you ship to?
    • All of the countries that we can currently ship to are located in the “State” dropdown menu when you’re setting up your customer profile. If your country is not there, then please call us at 866.YO.PORTERS (866.967.6783) to see what the options are to get you your order.
  • How much are UPS Worldwide shipping rates?
    • We have four basic rates – skis and snowboards are treated as one category and everything else is another. In addition, because Canada is just over the boarder (and we heart our neighbors to the north), it has its own set of rates different than every other international country.
      • Canada – Skis and Snowboards = $35
      • Canada – All other products besides skis and snowboards = $25
      • International – Skis and Snowboard = $100
      • International – All other products besides skis and snowboards = $75
  • What about duties, tarrifs, VAT’s, and Customs?
    • Any shipment leaving the US is subject to customs inspections as well as extra duties, tarrifs, or “Value Added Taxes” (VAT). These are 100% your responsibility and we have no control over what additional charges are added to your order. Because of this, we have no estimate to give you of how much the final cost will be. Please contact UPS Worldwide or your local Customs office for more information.
  • What is this “Credit Card Verification” stuff all about?
    • When you use an international credit card, we need to verify for both our part and the credit card holder’s part that this is a legitimate order. Unfortunately, there is A LOT of fraud that exists out there today and we’re doing our part to stop it.

So here’s what happens. When you place an international order with us, we will charge your card a very small, random amount between $.01 and $1.00 which is deducted from your order once we ship. We will then email and call you and tell you that we have done this. You then need to contact your credit card company and ask how much we charged you. After you have this EXACT amount, please either call us 866.YO.PORTERS (866.967.6783) or email back to international@porterstahoe.com with your first and last name, customer ID, your order #, and the amount we charged. Once you’ve done this once, you won’t have to repeat it for future orders.
