The innovative Marker Tour F12 and Tour F10 bindings were developed
based on a 76mm minimum ski width. They feature new, lighter
weight Triple Pivot Compact toe and Hollow Linkage heel
components. The new toe and heel sit atop a smoothfl
exing frame design which features a new, glove
friendly release lever that puts the binding in
touring mode. The new toe features a heightadjustable
gliding AFD designed specifi cally
for AT boot soles, while also compatible with alpine
boots. A weight-saving ‘hollow’ axle forms the pivot
point in the heel. Its design is light weight, compact, and easy to step
into, while the spring focuses energy directly toward the heel of the boot
for optimum skiing performance. The Tour F10 weighs approximately
1685 grams/pair. Stand height for both models is 34mm.
HOLLOW TECHNOLOGY
The fi ber-reinforced frame base plate provides impressive riding stability combined with very light weight due to a gas-injected, hollow construction.
BACK COUNTRY COMFORT (BCC)
TOURING MECHANISM
The patented, ergonomically shaped lever under the boot allows glove-friendly, comfortable opening and closing. Positioned under the boot, it cannot open during the descent, eliminating the chance for a ‘phantom tele’ experience.
BALANCE
Switching the lever to touring mode moves the whole binding 40 mm backward, allowing a more balanced stepping motion and easier kick turns on steep terrain.
CLIMBING AID
The titanium climbing aid off ers two positions 7° and 13°, which can easily be accessed with the ski pole, even on steep, awkward terrain. Integrated elastomer padding dampens the impact, reducing the irritating traditional “clack”and allowing more comfortable hiking.
TOURING CRAMPON
Tailor-made and super-light anodized aluminium crampons for the F10 and F12 bindings are available in 82 mm and 92 mm widths. Mounting position is right under the arch, maximizing pressure and increasing climbing capability.
TOURING BRAKE
The brakes can easily be removed – even by the end user. Just remove the two screws, slide off the brake, remove the brake arm, and reinstall the heel spacer, which features a wide boot platform for optimal power transmission.Standard safety straps are adaptable to both the F10 and F12 Tour models.
BASE PLATE
The wide frame construction is secured at several positions, perfectly distributing pressure for enhanced skiing performance compared to other AT bindings. 2 available sizes accommodate all boot sole lengths.
GLIDING AFD
The Gliding AFD plate is height-adjustable to accommodate both AT and alpine boots.
TRIPLE PIVOT COMPACT TOE
The new compact toe features a cross-axis toe spring. Sole holder rollers and gliding AFD provide the retention/release that customers expect from Marker. Why should touring skiers accept less protection? An aluminium strut brace stiff ens the whole construction, providing added support while remaining extremely light weight.
HOLLOW LINKAGE HEEL
The newly-developed heel features touring boot optimized sole holders. The hollow, aluminum axle saves weight and maximizes torsional stiff ness. The high energy absorption reduces unwanted release, meaning better performance and more confi dent descents.
