How long have you been skiing?
Since I was 2 years old.

What is your favorite part of life on the road?
Different food, Meeting new people, getting to see old people, and finding new little hobbies to occupy my time haha.

What is the worst part of life on the road?
Leaving friends and family back at home and, worst of all, limbs falling asleep!

What skiers inspire you and why?
Haha my list of skiers that inspire me runs pretty long, so ill keep it short. I grew up watching people like Tanner Hall, Eric Pollard, TJ Schiller, Simon Dumont, Candide Thovex, Dave Critchton…those kinds of people. The skiers that inspired me then and the ones that inspire me now are the ones that always remember to have fun with what they do and stay positive role models to kids like me. I know, corny, but true.

What are your goals for this season?
I have been training hard to do well in big competitions this year, such as the US, Aspen, Big Bear and North American opens, WSI, and national events, so I am striving to get my name out into the ski world. Also, I would love to do more filming this season, whether in the park, pipe or back country. I hope to make this my season!

What has been the most exciting/important moment of your career thus far?
Honestly, I can’t name one single moment that has been the most exciting part for me. This last year was definitely a turning point for me because I began to notice my hard work paying off. I got 14th place in the North American Open halfpipe, as well as for WSI halfpipe, so as long as I keep at it things will improve and that’s all I can ask for.

What do you like about living in Tahoe and how has it affected your skiing?
It took me until a couple years ago to realize it, but I couldn’t have picked a better place to grow up. I have lived in Truckee my whole life, and even after travelling to different states to compete, I have noticed that the Tahoe area offers much more than other places. Not only do we have incredible skiing, but there are a ton of places to ski all within 45 minutes to each other. This is my reasoning to choosing to go to UNR, so that when winter rolls around, I can take a break from college and focus on my ski training in one of the best spots in the world.

What does it mean to you to ride for Porters Tahoe, and what do you feel you will bring to their team?
Riding for Porters is a great privilege as I see it. They brought me on when I was pretty little, and gave me nothing but the best support. Not only that, but they helped get my name out into the open for other sponsors. Now that I have improved enough to step up to the big dogs of skiing, I can help do what they did for me: get their name more out into the open. Porters is growing in popularity and I will, as a team member, add to that so when people think Porters, they think – best ski shop ever!
