How long have you been skiing? Since I was 2. So 25-2=23. 23 years. But not the whole time. I haven't skied everyday since I was 2. That's ludicrous. I mean I wish I skied everyday since I was 2. If I had skied that much I'd be so fucking good by now. I'd be like Jesus, but with skis on. I'd probably be able to fly and shit.
What is your favorite part of life on the road? Hitting it with my truck, scraping it off the pavement and then cooking it for dinner over a roaring campfire in the desert. I love hitting life on the road. Then making it dead.
What is the worst part of life on the road? Not making it dead.
What skiers inspire you and why? The good ones. Because they're really good at skiing and that's good.
Your exposure started as a film skier, but you seem to be transitioning to more big mountain competitions. Why did you do it backwards? Whoa, I don't ski backwards. Skiing brown-eye first is today's leading cause of Lupus. Seriously, look it up.
What has been the most exciting/important moment of your career thus far?
Once I was standing on top of the Fingers scoping a gnarlbles line under the KT-22 lift and some guy yelled to me from the chairlift, "GO YOU QUEER!" And I yelled back, "NO! YOUR THE ONE WHO IS THE QUEER ONE, SO YOU SHOULD GO!!" I sure told him. But the hike out of that place was a bitch.
You've also had the opportunity to film with Martin Scorsese, what is that like? Well, I had the chance to go out to the Jersey Shore for a summer with Scorsese and man those Italian guys with popped collars and Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are just quality people. Really, cool down to earth guys that get the hottest chicks on the planet. I'm really thinking of moving out there after this whole skiing career thing ends and applying some fake-tanner, lip-gloss and perhaps changing my name to Mario or something.
What do you like about living in Tahoe and how has it affected your skiing?
The weekend warriors. They take snowballs to the face like Jenna Jameson takes, well you see where this is going.
What does it mean to you to ride for Porters Tahoe, and what do you feel you will bring to their team? It means something. Something that is related to an object. A thing if you will. The meaning and importance is on par to that of an item, gadget, or implement. Actually, I don't know really where I'm trying to go with this. Little help?
You are only 25, which means that you have quite a few years of shredding ahead of you…….. What are some of your major career plans/goals? My goals include seeing naked pictures of Bea Arthur. Eating a quarter pounder with cheese in Britain so that when I say, "I'd like a Quarter Pounder with Cheese." They'd look at me all retarded-like because they only understand the Metric system, wouldn't give me one and then I'd get to say back, "I WANT A FUCKING QUARTER POUNDER WITH CHEESE! NOW!!! AND IT BETTER WEIGH A QUARTER FUCKING POUND" Oh and finally seeing a giraffe make love to a chihuahua. That would be amazing.
