QUESTIONS
How long have you been skiing? Since I couldn’t remember. Too young.
What is your favorite part of life on the road? Getting to drag my boyfriend along.
What is the worst part of life on the road? My boyfriend can be REALLY stinky.
What skiers inspire you and why? The best looking ones because they make me want to follow them around. For example, I really like the way my boyfriend looks, and since I just want to keep looking I have to keep up with him and follow him off those big cliff thingys and ski the ga-narly lines. I think that’s what he calls it, I don’t understand him and his friends sometimes with their whole “pro skier” lingo.
Your exposure started as a ski model, but you seem to be transitioning to more backcountry and big mountain. How does that make you feel? Man, why does everyone think I like to pose? It was a way to make some quick money. Thank goodness my actual ski career is working out, it gets so boring putting on ski clothes and not actually getting to go ski. It’s like a guy with blue balls. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that but it’s the best comparison really.
What has been the most exciting/important moment of your career thus far? Winning a World Title and getting to exclaim “Lightening struck on me too!” Let me explain, Mick Fanning has a Wins a World Title poster that strikes him with lightening, and every time I see it I feel entitled to make the same statement. Luckily I see it a lot because I live in a surf town when it’s not ski season. Pretty cool self-affirmation if you ask me.
You’ve also had the opportunity to film in Alaska, what is that like? The coolest thing since the invention of the cute, little miniature sponge-like dessert called cupcakes. But not to paint the wrong picture, heli-skiing in Alaska is anything but small. Even mini-golf lines are bigger and steeper than anything that you can ski in Tahoe.
What does it mean to you to ride for Porters Tahoe, and what do you feel you will bring to their team? The Porter’s Team has some pretty sick riders on it, so to be a part of it is like winning MTV’s reality TV show Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll and becoming Nicole Scherzinger’s sidekick. So hot. So that’s what I hope to bring to the team: a little sass, a lotta leg, and an ability to knock the socks off whoever is watching.
You are so old, which means that you have quite a few years of shredding ahead of you…….. What are some of your major career plans/goals? To keep on shredding into the sunset. Hopefully on the way I will have positively impacted and inspired some of the young folk.
