Great weekend, snow on the way
Lake Tahoe Area Weather and Snowpack Information
3/7/10 7:30pm
Blue bird morning giving way to some snow showers later in the day today. Great day to be outdoors as temps rose well into the mid 40s, 30s @8k. Winds were calm most of today but have since switched SW and are picking up steam. Strong cold front should pass through the region Monday as an outside slider drops along the coast. Expect colder temps and snow tomorrow with SW winds gusting to 60+mph along the ridges. Accumulations along the TSC have a good chance of reaching 4-6". There is more snow possible Tuesday. Overall skies will be cloudy with some sun away from the crest.
There is more snow possible Friday night-> Saturday, with the potential for moderate snowfall. Skiing and riding have been great all week and we are going to see a nice topper freshen things up over the next few days.
Cold temps Monday->Tuesday will keep the snow in great condition. Temps in Truckee will stay in the 30s until Wednesday as we will see a 10F+ jump in temps on Thursday to near 50F. 20s @ 8k warming into the 30s late in the week.
Tahoe will see another fine week of skiing/ riding with fresh snow, cold temps and then clearing mid week. Enjoy!
